Departing from Esquilino Square (Bus Terminal) you'll be soon led into the core of the town, Piazza Venezia and the "Vittoriano", namely the altar dedicated in 1911 to the King Vittorio Emmanuel II - then the Capital Square, offering a scenic view on the Roman Forum and the Palatine hill (visit) - The Roman Forum used to be a political, military and social beating pole of the whole Roman Empire. Nearby is the Arch of Constantine (Visit), then the magnificient Colosseum, Rome greatest amphitheatre which the Emperor Vespasian meant to create as a symbol of magnificience: it was the year 72 A.C. (Visit) - A Michelangelo's masterpiece : the Statue of Moses (Visit) will follow, housed in the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli.
